Access to the SHA Library Resources

Instant Access at the Regina General Hospital

  • Connect to the RQHR Guest Wi-Fi for instant access to the SHA library resources
    • NSID required to access USask resources
  • Connect to the USask Wi-Fi for instant access to the USask library resources
    • SHA Library Card Number (NSID) required to access SHA library resources

Note: The USask Wi-Fi will soon be available at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina and the Regina Centre Crossing.

Access Printed Resources at One of the Following Locations

Borrowing Printed Resources

  • Checkout printed resources from one of the SHA Library Locations during staffed hours (Mon to Fri from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm) 
  • Contact us if you cannot make it to the library. We'll send you the printed resource(s) via mail or to a different pick-up location
  • Printed resources can be signed out for 3 weeks. Renewals are possible so long as there are no holds placed on the item(s)

Self Checkout Procedure During Unstaffed Hours

Index Card

To sign out printed resources during unstaffed hours, you will have to do the following:

  1. Open the item and remove the index card on the back cover of the resource
  2. Print your first & last name, phone number, and the date borrowed. 
  3. Deposit the card in the wall slot of the CoM Room or leave it at the front desk
  4. Take the resource with you

The CoM collection at the Regina General Hospital - RGH OB (map) is dedicated to the College of Medicine students, clerks, and residents. You may access this room on a 24/7 basis with your SHA security badge ("hospital badge"). Popular titles include:

  • Beckmann & Ling's Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Toronto Notes

This study room must be booked in advance. Priority is given to College of Medicine learners.
