Technical Issues

Note: Contact the Library (not the IT Department) if you experience technical issues with any of the licensed mobile apps. If the issue is unresolvable, we can put you in contact with the vendor and their support team.

Lexidrug App

Note: App needs to be renewed by April 1st every year

  1. Open a Chrome, Edge, or Firefox browser and visit Lexidrug (formerly Lexicomp). Do not use Safari or Internet Explorer. 
    Note: You must use the library link listed above to set up your account
  2. Scroll down to the blue MOBILE ACCESS CODES icon. Click on the icon.
  3. Select your platform and then click "Existing (already have the app)"
  4. Write down the AUTHORIZATION CODE (appears in red font)
  5. Go to http://www.lexi.com/account/ and log-in to your account.
    Note: If you are currently using a personal email account then you will need to update it as Lexidrug now only accepts the following email domains: @saskhealthauthority.ca; @usask.ca; @mail.usask.ca; saskcancer.ca; or athabascahealth.ca TUTORIAL: CHANGING YOUR EMAIL (CLICK TO VIEW)
  6. Enter the Authorization Code and click ADD SUBSCRIPTION.
  7. A verification PIN will be sent to your email. Check your Junk Folder if you don't see the email.  If you don't receive the PIN, please contact Lexi Support at support@lexi.com or 1-855-633-0577.
    Note: The PIN will expire after 30 minutes
  8. Open the email containing your PIN. Enter the PIN into your account.
  9. Click VERIFY and then click FINISH
  10. Open the Lexidrug app on your device

To download the Lexidrug app:

  1. Open a Chrome, Edge or Firefox browser and visit Lexidrug (formerly Lexicomp). Do not use Safari or Internet Explorer.
    Note: You must use the library link listed above to access your account
  2. Scroll down to the blue MOBILE ACCESS CODES icon. Click on the icon.
  3. Select the platform you will used to access the Lexidrug app.
  4. Select 'New (app is not installed)'.
  5. Write down the AUTHORIZATION CODE (appears in red font).
  6. Go to https://www.lexi.com/account/create/ and create an account using your email address.
    NOTE: You must use one of the following email addresses: @saskhealthauthority.ca; @usask.ca; @mail.usask.ca; saskcancer.ca; or athabascahealth.ca
  7. Enter the Authorization Code and click ADD SUBSCRIPTION.
  8. A verification PIN will be sent to your email. Check your Junk folder if you don't see the email.  If you don't receive the PIN, please contact Lexi Support at support@lexi.com or 1-855-633-0577.
    NOTE: The PIN will expire after 30 minutes.
  9. Enter the PIN into your account. Click VERIFY. Click FINISH.
  10. Download the app to your device from the App Store or Play Store
  11. Open the app and log in using the username and password you just created. Click ACCEPT.
  12. Select automatic update preference (Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and Data)  -- Wi-Fi is recommended to avoid carrier charges)
  13. Select your library content preference. Click on Get Started
  14. Select content sets or tap Download All.

 

You must renew your Lexidrug account before April 1st of each year.
