Request a journal alert to stay current in your practice or specialty. Let us know which journals you would like to receive email alerts for (including journals we don't subscribe to) and we'll set it up for you. To make your request, submit a Service Request.

Subject Alerts
Receive email alerts of new articles on your topic of choice. A librarian will save a search strategy in a medical database that runs automatically on a monthly basis (or as often as you'd like). The librarian will work with you to ensure you are getting the most relevant information. To make your request, submit a Service Request.

Receive email alerts for DynaMed topics:
To follow the latest updates in DynaMed topics, you have to create a personal account. An account can be created in DynaMed by clicking on the person icon in the top-right corner and then "Register Now". Then click on the icon again and sign in,
Once signed into your account, go to the page for the topic you want to follow and click on the icon with a plus sign that appears near the top-right (next to the printer icon). Select the type of alerts you want to receive and click "Follow."
Note: to unfollow a topic, go back to the page for that topic and click the minus sign icon (next to the printer icon near the top right). Or, go to the home page of DynaMed and scroll down to the list under "Followed" near the bottom-right of the screen, and click the minus sign icon to remove it. This displays all of the topics you are following.

Natural Medicines provides a free monthly e-newsletter covering news and events on herbs, supplements, exercise, nutrition, complementary and alternative medicine modalities, practices, and policy. Fill out the form to sign up. The form can be found by going to Natural Medicines, hovering over "News" along the top right of the screen and selecting "eNewsletter".
The CE/CME Center tab also includes evidence-based courses focused on clinical management of disease states and medical conditions. An account must be created in order to access this section and receive credit.
Continuing Education resources are available in Nursing Reference Center Plus. The homepage has links to thing like skills videos and cultural competency resources. Click on the "Continuing Ed" tab above the search box to view all resources.
You can also receive email alerts whenever a particular monograph of interest has been updated. When viewing a monograph, just select the "E-mail Alert" link in the top right corner listed under "Tools." Enter your email address and select how often you would like to receive notifications of updates. No account is required.

PEN keeps its users informed of new or revised content and services, as well as important practice information, through electronic communications. To sign up for the eNewsletter, scroll to the bottom of the screen in PEN and click "eNews Issues." You will then be able to browse past issues and there will be an option in orange text near the middle-right side of the screen that says "PEN eNews is Free! Sign Up Today." Click on this link and enter your email address.
