Your web browser holds onto your web-browsing information and saves it to your computer in order for everything to load quickly. Old information is stored and reserved for you when you come back a second time in order to make things easier for you.
However, this can sometimes cause issues too. For example, you may sometimes see old versions of documents or websites even when you know they they have been updated recently. That’s also why your search results might be different than someone else. Your history is stored and saved until you manually clear it, so this is why it's important to clear your browsing history every once in a while.
You should clear the browsing history for each web browser that you use. This means if you use multiple web browsers, then you will need to clear them each individually.
Clearing the cache for a specific page:
What is a Hard Refresh?
A hard refresh clears your browser cache for a specific page, which forces it to load the most recent version of that page. This could include new scripts, styles or features. (PLEASE NOTE THIS OPTION DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK)
Important: Clicking the “Refresh” arrow on your browser address bar is not a hard refresh.
Here’s how you can clear your cache through a hard refresh on any browser:
Chrome: Shift + Reload (Refresh) Key OR
Ctrl + Shift + r OR
Ctrl or Shift or fn key + F5
Edge: Shift or fn key + F5
Firefox: Ctrl + F5
Note: You can skip steps 1-3 by just pressing Ctrl+Shift+Del on the keyboard.
