Stated purpose |
iCCS is a platform to deliver the top CCS Guidelines in one single app. |
Notes |
Info can be found in App Store or Google Play |
Part 1: Editorial committee, content updates, and evidence grading |
The information on the editorial committee and evidence grading system is not available in the app, but on the CCS website. Entries are clearly dated both in the app and on the CCS website. |
Part 2: Source and authorship information for 3 entries |
There are seven guideline topics in the app. Each guideline topic contains all or some of these sections: Summary, Calculators, Drugs, Trials, Library and Videos. The Library section links to the full guidelines, guideline slide decks, focused updates, etc. All of the documents in the Library section reside on Google Docs. The source and authorship information is included in the full guidelines. There is no source or authorship information in other sections. Hence a low score for Part 2. |
Organization of information |
Clear organizational scheme. Entries are arranged by topics. Each topic contains sub categories which include some or all of these sections: Summary, Calculators, Drugs, Trials, Library and Videos.
|
Navigation |
Navigation was not difficult, but annoying. Having to keep going back and forth was not ideal. |
Extras |
N/A |
More |
Internet connection required for use: Yes (Except the Library and Videos sections, all the other sections do not request Internet access after initial download and updates. The Library section links to documents on Google Docs.) Text search field: Yes Browsable content: No Advertisements: No Pop-up advertisements: No In-app purchases: No |
Calculators are included in all but one topic.
