Find and remove duplicate references from EndNote
- Open EndNote
- Select the group of references that you want to check for duplicates.
- Note: you can also click All References from the top of the left-side menu.
- Go to Library -> Find Duplicates.
- If there are duplicates to be found you will see a pop-up window called Find Duplicates.
- Click the Keep This Record button for the reference you want to keep (the other reference will be discarded).
- Repeat Step 4 until all duplicates are removed.
Remove all duplicate references at once
- After completing Step 3 listed above, click Cancel.
- Select the Duplicate References folder which will now appear in the left-side menu, to view all duplicate references in your library.
- Select all the records (CTRL + A), right click, and Move References to Trash.
